Film Lamination
We require a 1/2" of waste paper on all sides. Please strip back all ink, varnishes and AQ to avoid this area. If you have less then this please call. 781-341-1606.
Rigid films like 3,5,10 and 15mil we can flush edge the sheet coming out of the laminator. A 1/2" margin is not required on these films but recommend for final quality.
Wax-free inks increase the bond of the adhesives and is highly recommended. Polypro (OPP) - Inexpensive film series. Does have a scuff-free matte and soft touch series. Standard gloss and matte films are not scuff resistant. Standard series is not good if additional finishing is required. Scuff resistant and soft touch are okay for additional finishing. Gloss, Matte, Scuff-free matte and soft touch.
Polyester (PET) - Scuff resistant / dry-erasable / wet-erasable / good for binding and finishing. Gloss, satin and matte finishes
Nylon (Layflat) - Resists curling. Gloss and soft touch matte finishes only
Peel and Stick (window Stick) - Turn any piece into a window sticker. Gloss only. Removable adhesive. 3mil is automatically applied to reverse side. Call if you require a single side application.
Anti-Skid - non-slip film for floor posters. Gloss only
Deep Silk (mouse and counter mat surface film. Great for the reverse side of Peel and stick to make mouse pads and counter mats. Matte finish.
Superstick Digital Film Required - Used for digital printing. Will bond on most digital prints (Konica excluded). Avoid bleeds. Film can lift off surface if excessive stress is applied to sheet on bleeds/drilling/diecutting/excessive temp changes. Gloss and Matte finishes

Wax-free inks are required. We highly recommend dusting or pulling offset powder from press sheet. Offset powders will clog the screen, make the uv look gritty and un-sharpen image lines. 1/2" a must for margins. We cannot UV over rhodamine, PMS purple and Reflex blue. The UV process will kill these colors. When applying AQ to both sides of a sheet, let the first side dry 100% before backing up. Backing up to quickly will lock in press chemical leaving the inks unstable and the aq/UV bind to the inks. Spot
